Monday 3 May
Rest day.
Tuesday 4 May 4.44 miles – 39:11 – 8:50 min/mile – 166 avg bpm – 177 max bpm – 82% WHR
My original training plan had running to and from work on a Tuesday and Thursday but after this run I have cut it back to just Thursdays. The main reason for this is logistics, it is a nice run in but I ended up carrying too much, I can get around this on Thursdays by dropping the things off before.
Wednesday 5 May 6.48 miles – 1:00:00 – 9:16 – min/mile – 154 avg bpm – 161 max bpm – 73% WHR
This was the usual lunchtime run but with a slight difference this time as it was the first run using WHR zones. I struggled at first trying to find the pace that would keep me within the zone and it was strange running slowly again but I did enjoy it and found myself admiring the scenery as I ran past it all which I don’t usually do.

Another WHR run after work, legs felt a bit stiff and had shin splints on this one but fine after.

Rest day.
Weekly mileage = 17.54 +4.97 from last week.
